The Role

We're expanding our Data & Integration capability in Cape Town and are looking for a talented Integration Developer to design, build and support enterprise-grade data integration solutions. This role is focused on developing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, transforming and orchestrating data across multiple systems, and ensuring reliable, scalable data movement that supports analytics, AI and business operations.

Location: Hybrid – based in Cape Town (3–4 days in the office, 8 am–5 pm).
If applying from another city, relocation to Cape Town will be required and should be arranged personally.

You Will

Design, develop and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and orchestration.
Build and maintain robust integration solutions between cloud platforms, databases, APIs and third-party applications.
Analyse source and target systems to define data mappings, transformation logic and integration requirements.
Develop reusable frameworks and components that improve integration efficiency and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, performance bottlenecks and data quality challenges.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Monitor and optimise pipeline performance, reliability and cost within Azure environments.
Support CI/CD deployment processes and version control for integration assets.

What You Will Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset and curiosity about AI and emerging data technologies.

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
3–6 years’ experience in data engineering or a related field.
Strong experience developing solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
Strong understanding of data transformation techniques and data mapping principles.
Advanced SQL skills with experience optimising complex queries.
Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, flat files and cloud applications.
Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics or related Azure data services.
Experience using Git and CI/CD deployment practices.
Analytical thinker who thrives on solving complex data challenges.
Positive, can-do attitude - someone who comes with solutions and delivers with pace and precision.
Client-focused and collaborative; communicates clearly with technical and non- technical teams.
Always learning and exploring new ways to improve data processes and outcomes.

It would be great if you also had:

Python development experience.
Experience with Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
Experience with Databricks.
Exposure to Snowflake.
Experience supporting analytics or AI/ML solutions.
