Senior AI Engineer
Lead teams and ship production-grade AI systems across complex enterprise programmes — hands-on, collaborative and close to the build.
The role
We're partnering with a global organisation investing heavily in AI to transform how it operates at scale. As part of that journey, they are building a strategic capability focused on selecting, shaping and governing the tools that enable AI adoption across the business.
This role helps define how AI tools are evaluated, selected and deployed across a complex, enterprise environment. It's a highly strategic role suited to someone who sits comfortably between product, technology and business — someone who can understand where the AI landscape is heading, translate that into clear recommendations, and influence decision-making at a senior level. Alongside the strategy, it carries senior technical leadership: setting standards and growing the AI engineering team.
Location: UK.

- Identify overlaps, gaps and opportunities to consolidate or scale existing tooling.
- Provide structured recommendations on tool selection, integration and strategic fit.
- Work closely with business units, product teams and technology stakeholders to understand priorities and constraints, and align the organisation around a shared AI tooling direction.
- Communicate recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, balancing technical and commercial considerations.
- Define and track key metrics for adoption, value and effectiveness, and maintain clear documentation of tooling decisions and strategic direction.
- Support governance processes to ensure consistency, control and responsible AI adoption.
