Who we are

This website, inferencegroup.com, is operated by Inference Group Ltd (“Inference Group”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15652868), based in Battersea, London. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

The personal data we collect

We collect personal data in three ways:

• Enquiries. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and any message you send. This is emailed to enquiries@inferencegroup.com.
• Job applications. When you apply through our careers pages, we collect your name, email, phone number, location, the role you are applying for, any summary you provide, and your CV. This is emailed to our recruitment inbox.
• Website usage and visitor identification. When you browse the site, we and our providers collect technical data (such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed and referring source) and, through a third-party visitor-identification service, may associate that activity with the organisation you are visiting from and, where possible, business contact details.

Website analytics and visitor identification

We use RB2B (reb2b), a third-party visitor-identification service, to understand which businesses and, where possible, which individuals are visiting our site, so that we can follow up with relevant prospective clients. This service loads a script on our pages and processes technical signals such as your IP address and device information to match your visit against its business-identity database.

We rely on our legitimate interests (business-to-business marketing and understanding our audience) as the lawful basis for this processing. You have the right to object to it at any time — see “Your rights” and “How to opt out” below. If you would prefer not to be identified, you can email us to opt out, and you can also block or delete cookies and use your browser’s privacy controls.

How we use your data, and our lawful bases

• To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask about — on the basis of our legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• To assess and progress job applications — on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering an employment contract, and our legitimate interests in recruiting.
• To understand, secure and improve our website, and to identify and reach prospective business clients — on the basis of our legitimate interests.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations — where we are required to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, including:

• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Resend — delivery of enquiry and application emails.
• RB2B (reb2b) and its content-delivery provider — website visitor identification.
• Our professional advisers and, where required, regulators or authorities.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Agreement / standard contractual clauses — to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and application data for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and website-usage data for a limited period. We do not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purposes above or to meet our legal obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to our processing (including profiling for marketing); to data portability; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.

How to opt out

To object to visitor identification or marketing, email enquiries@inferencegroup.com and we will action it. You can also manage cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings, and use browser privacy or tracking-protection features to limit third-party tracking.
